  • Hanneke started as a group leader in 2023 after completing a postdoctoral fellowship in the Adelman lab at Harvard Medical School. She believes the lab will be the most fun AND produce the highest quality science if its members are happy, inspired, their full selves, and in charge of their own professional development. She cares about mentoring young scientists inside and outside the lab.

  • N.P. (Nathalie) de Wagenaar MSc

  • Nathalie carries out experiments in the lab (currently working on INSERT-seq experiments), but is also critical in ensuring our lab runs smoothly.
    Nathalie performed PhD research at the Department of Molecular Genetics at the Erasmus MC, Rotterdam, working on SMAD3 mutations.

  • I.M. (Ilse) Lagerwaard MSc

  • Ilse is a PhD student in the lab, working to identify specific regulators of non-coding versus coding transcription, particularly at the transcription elongation level.
    Ilse studied at Utrecht University, and has cum laude degrees in Veterinary Sciences (BSc) and Molecular and Cellular Life Sciences (MSc).

  • Irene Zanovello, BSc

    Irene is doing the master program Science and Business Management. As part of her master program, she is doing a 9-month internship in her lab, starting October 2023.

  • Anatoli Todorov

    Anatoli is a student at the University College Utrecht and is doing his thesis project in our lab. In the summer of 2023, he also did a short summer internship with us.
