Supervisor Courses for GSLS/GSNS
The 6-week course Supervising Academic Writing has been designed especially for supervisors of the for supervisors of the Graduate Schools of Natural Sciences and Graduate Schools of Life Sciences. The course equips supervisors, from postdoc to full professor, to effectively guide master’s and PhD candidates in writing clear and impactful scientific texts. Throughout the course, you will gain the tools to effectively support your (PhD) students in becoming better academic writers. The courses go beyond editing drafts, focusing on diagnosing writing challenges and equipping students to communicate their research clearly and convincingly. Topics include the writing process, structuring texts, clarity and readability, GenAI evaluation and integration, diagnosing writing challenges, and providing effective feedback. You will also have the opportunity to refine your own writing skills.
