Welcoming reception

On the first day, we accomodate the poster session with a typical Dutch borrel. A borrel can be defined as an informal social gathering with drinks and snacks. Of course, bitterballen, the typical Dutch snack to spruce up these gatherings, will be present.

Wander in the Botanic Gardens

The Utrecht University Botanic Gardens cover nine hectares and are overflowing with natural splendor. Discover the enormous rock garden, evolution garden, tropical greenhouses and the bird-watching hut in and around Fort Hoofddijk. At the FAME conference, every participant will recieve an entrance ticket for the gardens. These are ideal to be used between the end of the conference day and the start of the conference diner on Thurdsay or to proces all things happened at FAME on Friday after the conference.

Conference dinner

In the heart of the city, under the bridge and next to the water, the wonderful Humphreys restaurant is situated. With its 'plush' decor with different shades of red, gold-coloured chandeliers and luscious use of fabrics and art nouveau chairs and tables, this location exuberates a special French ‘Moulin Rouge’ ambiance. An atmosphere suited for our conference dinner. A three-course menu, with soft drinks, beer,  wine and a coffee, cappuccino or tea is included in the conference fee.
