Research

The aim of the UU/Experimental Psychopathology lab is to improve the understanding and treatment of mental disorders based on rigorous scientific research. One of our tools is well-controlled experimental research in the laboratory or clinic. We also use other methods and designs, such as cross-sectional and longitudinal research and network analysis. The group concentrates particularly on psychological processes involved in trauma-related disorders (PTSD), mental health problems (anxiety/stress-related, depression), and eating disorders.
This lab is part of the Clinical Psychology department of Utrecht University.
