Marcel van den Hout

Marcel van den Hout (1955) is emeritus professor of Clinical Psychology and Experimental Psychopathology. He (co) authored over 200 scientific publications, with a primary focus on anxiety and its disorders. In close collaboration with students (master and PhD) and with other members of the group, his present research concentrates on Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), safety behavior in the maintenance and treatment of anxiety disorders, and the contribution of taxing working memory during recall of trauma-memories to the recovery from post-traumatic stress.
