Funding

As a researcher it can be difficult to find your way around the many and continuously changing (inter)national funding opportunities. How do you acquire the information and advice that is relevant to you and your field of research?

Dynamics of Youth offers researchers different funding opportunities. Funding provided under these opportunities must aim to contribute to the mission and vision of Dynamics of Youth and fit in one or more communities.

Call: Dynamics of Youth & Child Health Booster Grant

In recent years, important steps have been taken towards increased cooperation between Child Health (UMCU) and Dynamics of Youth (UU). In the coming period, we strengthen our cooperation, among others by launching joint booster grants. The booster grants support, increase or amplify the effectiveness, power, and strengths of collaborations across the UMCU and UU. The maximum budget for each proposal is 15.000 euros. This year, 2022 a maximum of 3 proposals can be accepted for funding. The booster grants will be opened annually, with the first call on 3 October 2022. The proposed project must involve new collaborations, with at least one researcher from Child Health and one researcher from Dynamics of Youth!

The grants are an incentive to drive both programs forward and to encourage people to work together and connect science and society. The Child Health & Dynamics of Youth booster grants facilitate:

  • Interdisciplinary research, connecting researchers from Child Health and Dynamics of Youth
  • Research utilizing data, tools, and methods already available and certified (including replication studies)

Booster grants can e.g., be used for start-up studies or as pilot study for further grant opportunities.

Completed and signed application form + budget specification form can be submitted via DoY-Secr@uu.nl. This call is from 3 October 2022 until 14 November 2022 and results will be announced in December 2022.
