Hydrologist Marc Bierkens and mountain hydrologist Walter Immerzeel have received major grants for two research projects, each worth $9.5 million, which are part of Virtual Institute for Earth’s Water. Bierkens is the project leader of the Re-Analysis of Water for Society research project, and Immerzeel is co-project leader of MountAInWater.
