The effectiveness of Forensic Outpatient Systemic Therapy

FAST is an intensive, outreaching intervention targeting juveniles showing severe antisocial behavior and their families. The primary goals of FAST are to reduce juvenile antisocial and/or delinquent behavior, prevent out of home placement, and prevent or decrease recidivism (risk).

The research project aims to investigate the effectiveness of FAST and to determine whether the blended version of FAST (in which the intervention is delivered partially online) is as effective as the regular (offline) version of FAST. In addition, the project will examine working mechanisms of FAST, identify for whom the intervention works, and how juveniles and caregivers evaluate FAST. The project is a collaboration between Utrecht University and de Waag.
