Netherlands-Asia Honours Summer School
In 2012 Utrecht University came together with Delft University of Technology, AkzoNobel and McKinsey & Company to launch the Netherlands-Asia Honours Summer School (NAHSS). This triple-helix programme is funded and organised through a unique public-private partnership between all thirteen Dutch research-led universities, sixteen Dutch companies and four ministries. The partners recognise the increasing importance of Asia, and the urgent need for the new Dutch generation to become acquainted with the dynamics of Asia and the opportunities that this continent has to offer to the Netherlands. NAHSS offers outstanding students from every research university in the Netherlands the opportunity to take a summer school programme in Asia, which gives them an introduction to the society, culture, academic environment and business community of the country in question.
De Chinese University of Hong Kong
Utrecht University has signed two bilateral agreements with the Chinese University of Hong Kong. These agreements strengthen collaboration on the strategic themes of Utrecht University and the focus areas of research at the CUHK: Chinese Studies, Biomedical Sciences, Information Sciences, Economics and Finance and Geoinformation and Earth Sciences. They encourage exchange between researchers and PhD candidates.
