Team Clinical Data Applications

Objectives

The objective of the SIG CDA is to unite data scientists and other interested parties that work on data analytic solutions within the medical domain. Including people working on modelling of machine learning algorithms, developing smart user interfaces, building clinical decision support tools this SIG aims to accelerate successful implementation of data science to the benefit of the patient. This SIG also welcomes participants from outside the medical domain.

Aims

  • Stimulate collaboration between researchers working with different data science techniques within the medical domain
  • To develop a way to better connect data scientists and health professionals across different fields
  • Sharing interfacultary knowledge and experiences on data analytics applications
  • Discussing directions to implement CDS solutions within clinical care

Participate

The SIG is open to all researchers at UU or UMCU who are interested in the applications of data analytics within clinical domain. We organize biweekly thematic meetings in the UMC Utrecht, focusing on different areas (e.g. data science techniques, specific disease areas, etc.). If you would like to be updated about the activities of this SIG, please register for our newsletter.
