Lifelong Learning Portfolio

The portfolio* consists of two parts: a portfolio of competence and a portfolio of knowledge.

The portfolio of competence (Excel) is important if you perform procedures on animals. This is checked during the approval of a working protocol.

The portfolio of knowledge (Excel) is important for anyone who is registered as competent and is used to renew the qualification registration.

All activities that guarantee the exchange of relevant information and ensure that 'best practices' are known and understood.
The number of hours you must demonstrate through these activities is as follows:

	Animal Caretaker(MBO-3) Animal Technician (MBO-4 or HBO)	Researcher	AWB member or Designated vetererinarian
Annual avarage (hours)	8	16	24
Every three years	24	48	72
