About

We are excited to invite you to the first edition of the Artificial Intelligence for Bio-oriented Imaging Analysis (AIBIA) Conference at TivoliVredenburg on Tuesday, May 6, 2025. This conference is initiated by the Utrecht Life Science Thematic Community Image Science, and its primary goal is to unite academic researchers who work on this topic, promoting collaboration within the Utrecht campus community. The focus will be on research and applications of Artificial Intelligence techniques in a broad spectrum of Imaging related Life Sciences research, from microscopy in fundamental biology to medical imaging in a clinical setting.

The conference will be a full day with parallel sessions and is open to all, with free entrance. We encourage all researchers to showcase their work by bringing existing or new posters for presentation.

Research community

Image Science is one of the six research communities of the strategic theme Life Sciences of Utrecht University. The strategic theme Life Sciences combines interdisciplinary research of Utrecht University’s Faculty of Science, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Faculty of Medicine (UMC Utrecht).
