Unlocking the synergy between MARGOT and ASReview

two hands putting two pieces of a puzzle together

MARGOT is an argumentation mining tool developed by the University of Bologna for detecting context-independent claims and evidences from text, thus it extracts argumentative-rich arguments from unstructured data without prior knowledge of the topic. MARGOT’s applications spans different domains, for instance text summarization, detection of trends in news and support to the researcher for highlighting part of text containing the most argumentative content. The goal of this project is to investigate the impact of using abstracts containing only salient information on the performance of systematic review conducted with active learning, in comparison to the use of original abstracts.

This project is in collaboration with the Università di Bologna.
