The Disc-AI Lab focuses on four research themes:
Answering societal challenges
We aim to assist societal partners in answering questions using AI-aided systematic reviews. To achieve this, the Lab is developing and evaluating various methods for integrating AI-aided systematic reviews with partner needs.
FAIR data
We develop methods and best practices to make input data, output data, and data generated by AI FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable). By making data FAIR, it can be more easily shared, reused, and integrated with other data sources, which can help to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of knowledge discovery processes.
Natural Language Processing
Our research team explores various natural language processing techniques and algorithms for identifying relevant studies in large scientific literature databases.
Software, tools and infrastructure
The Lab is developing and evaluating different tools and software, like ASReview, multiple imputation, extensions, and Python packages, to optimally benefit partners from other research lines.
