Oxford Chemistry Primer by Albert Philipse

Emeritus professor Albert Philipse (Physical and Colloid Chemistry) wrote the latest book in the acclaimed Oxford Chemistry Primers series published by Oxford University Press. It introduces the colloidal state of matter, colloidal nucleation and growth, Brownian motion, Donnan equilibria and the depletion force, charged colloids and electrical double layers, colloidal flocculation kinetics, sedimentation, flow in porous media, rheology, magnetic dispersions, association colloids and emulsions, and characterization via light scattering and electrophoresis. Each chapter ends with exercises, and the book has an extensive index. In Utrecht, it will be used in the Colloidal Dispersions course (SK-MCODI) previously taught by Albert Philipse and presently by Marlous Kamp.
