By enrolling you agree to the course terms and conditions and to the payment of the full course fee.
Courses are open to persons from the age of 18.
Places are allocated on a "first come, first served" basis until the maximum number of participants per course is met.
If a course can no longer take place in Parnassos due to force majeure, a course can be cancelled, continued online or continued in an adapted form. In such a situation, the participants will be informed as soon as possible.
If measures are needed with regard to the Covid-19 virus, Parnassos will act in line with the advice of the government and the policy of Utrecht University. The student also follows these guidelines when participating in the course. Check for more information the government website or the Utrecht University website.
The course participant can cancel a course registration up to four weeks before the start of the course, after which the course fee will be refunded. After this period, a refund is only possible if someone from the waiting list takes the place or the canceling participant arranges for a replacement. The course participant can also get a refund after rejection at an audition for one of the productions or when a course cannot take place for organizational reasons. In case of prolonged illness or injury a refund may be granted if a medical certificate is provided. The same rules apply for students who receive private tutoring. They are entitled to a refund of 2/3 of the course fee for any missed lessons caused by medical complications.
Parnassos reserves the right to either cancel or postpone a course in case an insufficient number of participants have enrolled.
Should you enrol for a course in price category 1 or 2, you will need to show a Student Card, employee number or an Alumni Card to verify your right to this discount. We will check all cards and employee numbers during the first class meeting.
Parnassos has made arrangements with a number of other universities within the Netherlands. Students at these universities are eligible for price category 1. Please check the list of participating universities at Price categories. If your university is not listed, you are NOT eligible for this discount.
If your contact information and/or price category change, contact the course administration before enrolling for another course.
Comments, questions or complaints about courses can be sent by e-mail to the course administration at info.parnassos@uu.nl. Parnassos cannot be held responsible for any direct correspondence between you and the teacher.
In the case of private tutoring, a time will be arranged for lessons, which will be given weekly or every two weeks. Arranged times cannot be changed, unless the schedules need to be changed due to organisational reasons. If this is the case, the student will receive notice by e-mail or by phone to arrange a new time.
No rights can be derived from any possible misprints or mistakes in announced activities or prices. As course programmes are planned months in advance, the course day, course time or teacher is subject to change, and may differ from any previously-issued publications.
If a lesson is cancelled, the lesson will be rescheduled before the end of the course period. This may differ from the usual day or time. Due to this, students will need to take into account that a course may last several weeks longer than indicated.
If the minimum number of participants is not met, a course could still start if all prospective students agree to having reduced hours for the same fee.
If a student cannot attend a class, he/she should contact reception as soon as possible by phone (030 253 8448).
If a course has entry requirements (as specified on the website) and the teacher feels that the student is struggling to meet them, Parnassos reserves the right to move the student to another course. Any change in course fees will be adjusted accordingly.
Participating in a course is entirely at the student’s own risk.
Students should adhere to general norms and values. Parnassos reserves the right to refuse a participant further access to the course if we, in our opinion, feel that he/she does not meet this requirement.
It is possible that during the courses or activities pictures are taken by a photographer of Parnassos. These photos will be used for publicity purposes such as a folder, flyer, poster, website photos, etc. You will be informed about this prior to the course. The photographer is clearly recognisable by a vest. Of course, you can let the photographer know on the spot if you do not wish to be photographed. If you wish to object at a later date to the taking or publication of photos in which you are featured, please send an e-mail to privacy.cwc@uu.nl.
