Circular purchasing
More circular procurement.
The waste chain always starts with the procurement of a product or service. By purchasing more circularly, we contribute to a Zero Waste business operation in the long term. Zero Waste is part of circularity because it refers to eliminating waste, a product without any value.
We use the R-ladder as a tool to procure more circularly. Zero Waste means we no longer burn waste (R9) or landfill (R10).

Circular procurement is paramount
We have to be keen on whether a purchase is necessary, but also on whether the items we buy have the least possible impact on the environment and are reusable. In every tender we do, where C&F itself is the client, we set the highest possible circular procurement conditions applicable to that product group. Our buyers are process supervisors of tenders and they all work to the same standards. We also try to encourage our faculties as much as possible to opt for circular procurement.
