Testimonial Natalja Macnack
Marketing Officer at the Faculty of Law, Economics and Governance
Natalja Macnack: “In 1996, I arrived at Utrecht University via a job agency. Since then, the university has become my permanent employer. I started at the secretariat of the central Communication Department. We were on top of the news; an ideal way to get to know the university better from a helicopter view. I did not expect to stay here for so long. I always thought: how can people work for the same employer half their lives? Now I know from my own experience that big organisations like universities offer so many different positions and possibilities that you'll never need another employer ever again.”
“Utrecht University offers so many different positions and possibilities that you'll never need another employer ever again.”
“What I like the most about working at Utrecht University is the diversity in positions and departments. The university has many fun and interesting areas: from internationalisation to education and communication. I also find the cultural area interesting. Think of Parnassos Cultural Centre, Studium Generale and the University Museum.
“Over the years a new position at another department has crossed my path every five years. Quite special. After the secretariat I worked at the International Office, the Board of Admissions and the Communication and Marketing Department of the Faculty of Law, Economics and Governance – among others. Because of all these positions, it does not feel as if I have been working here for over 20 years at all.”
