The Entrepreneurship section takes a broad perspective on entrepreneurship and innovation starting from economics, but with strong connections to management, business, geography and public policy. Members of the section (about 35 academic staff) are at the forefront of the academic debates on entrepreneurial ecosystems, innovation ecosystems, intrapreneurship, social and sustainable entrepreneurship, sharing economy and digital platforms, open- and consumer innovation, and economic development.

We have key positions in major global academic communities such as the Global Entrepreneurship Research Association and the Global Entrepreneurship Network and sit on the editorial boards of the leading entrepreneurship journals Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice and Small Business Economics.

Our work is published in leading entrepreneurship, management and geography journals, including Academy of Management Journal, Economic Geography, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Journal of Business Venturing, Journal of Management, Management Science, Research Policy and Small Business Economics. In addition to our academic work, we also frequently engage with business and policy practice.
