Kanunnikenzaal (Faculty Club)
The Kanunnikenzaal is located on the 1st floor of the University Hall, in the Faculty Club. It is possible to rent this room for bigger groups and has multiple possible seating layouts.
Seating layout and capacity
- The standard layout for the Kanunnikenzaal is the theater layout, which has room for 50 people.
- The reception layout has room for 48 people.
- Other layout options are available in consultation.
- For receptions, you can rent the Kanunnikenzaal together with the adjacent Sterrecamer.

Costs
The half-day rate is€ 498,-
Combined with the Sterrecamer, the half-day rate is €643
The booking costs are exempt from taxes.
Booking costs include a movable LCD display with desktop (in consultation) and WiFi. Sound system and equipment can be rented for a fee of 80 euros per reservation. There is an additional fee for costs being made in the weekends, this includes security, cleaning services and emergency response services.

Accessibility
The Kanunnikenzaal is located at the 1st floor of the Faculty Club and is accessible through the stairs or by elevator. The elevator has a dimension of 90 x 130 cm.
History
The Kanunnikenzaal is named after the former residents of the building Achter de Dom 7. Around 1400, this house was built by order of a canon who, as a clergyman, was affiliated with the collegiate church of the Dom and assisted the bishop in governing the diocese of Utrecht. Later, the building served as headquarters of the police department.
