What do you like most about your current job?

Freedom to discover science, great mentorship and a world-class research environment.

How did University College Utrecht prepare you for your life after the college?

University College Utrecht equipped me with a solid background in my core disciplines, but also fostered my curiosity to dive into topics not directly related to my field. The interdisciplinary mindset really helps to make discoveries at the intersection of established fields.

What is your best memory of University College Utrecht?

The friends I made and working in BarCo (the student-run campus bar - red.).

Do you have any advice for current and future students?

The classroom discussions are the best way to discover new material and dive into the subjects. But the social aspects of campus (housing, bar, Dining Hall, events) are just as important to make life-long friendships and establish networks.
