Information for UCU staff and students
We are very much looking forward to sharing the celebration of the 25th birthday of UCU! If you are a current UCU student or staff member, here is everything you need to know about the Lustrum Celebration and Alumni Homecoming Weekend.
Registration | We kindly ask you to register in advance to join the Lustrum Celebration day on June 9th. This helps us to plan capacity and make sure that everyone involved has a great time on the day! |

Who will be joining? | The first day of the Lustrum, 8th June is the kickoff for UCU staff and students. On June 9th we will be welcoming the wider Utrecht University family, colleagues from the university college network and members of the local community on campus, as well as alumni arriving for homecoming weekend. On 10th June the homecoming weekend starts, concluding with a brunch and closing ceremony on the morning of Sunday 11th. |

What will happen on June 8th? | June 8th is the kickoff day for UCU staff and students, with community activities and drinks. In the evening we will have a faculty club event for UCU/UU staff. More details will follow on the exact content. |
What will happen on Celebration Day (June 9th)? | We will start off at 12:30 with the official opening, followed by the UCU Liberal Arts and Sciences symposium in the afternoon. After the Welcome Borrel, the food trucks that we invite on campus will open for dinner. After live music and drinks by the fire pit, the evening will round off with an open air film screening (details on music and film to follow). |
Alumni Reunion Weekend | In the morning of Saturday 10th we plan to have sports activities together with the Alumni, such as a football match, yoga, running and open gym. Students and staff are very welcome to take part in these activities. |
