Students at UCU follow a particular model of education. They take courses in small classes, with continuous assessment, and there is a focus on peer-peer interaction as well as peer-teacher interaction.

There are, of course, other models of university teaching, and our students are entitled to take courses at any university in the Netherlands. In particular, they can take courses from the extensive offerings in all other faculties of Utrecht University.

We encourage our students to look beyond the gates of our college. Taking an off-campus course exposes students to different models of learning and allows them to engage with the wider Utrecht University community. It is a refreshing engagement with the academic world outside UCU.
