UCU has been awarded the title Top Rated Programme 2018

The Keuzegids (Dutch study choice guide) 2018 has awarded University College Utrecht the Top Rated Programme quality seal. The Keuzegids assessed about 400 bachelor programs on success rates, quality of education, quality of teaching, facilities and more. UCU scores particularly well on course content and individual guidance, and is praised highly by experts. The Top Rated Programme quality seal has been awarded to UCU yearly since 2013.

The 2017 Academic Ranking of World Universities conducted by Shanghai University ranks Utrecht University as #1 in the Netherlands, #13 in Europe and #47 in the world. The research focused Shanghai ranking is an influential index of universities worldwide.

The National Taiwan University Ranking 2016 ranks Utrecht University #1 in the Netherlands, and #34 in the world. The ranking focuses on research output and the number of articles published, number of quotations, h-index and number of Highly Cited Papers.

The World University Rankings 2016-2017 conducted by British magazine Times Higher Education ranks Utrecht University as #86 in the world.

UCU is accredited by the NVAO, the Accreditation Organization of the Netherlands and Flanders.

Elsevier magazine's extensive survey among Dutch institutes of higher education has frequently named UCU the best university college in the Netherlands.

In the yearly national student survey (Nationale Studentenenquete or NSE) UCU is consistently rated very positively by its students.
