Family diversity in the Netherlands
Approximately one in three marriages ends in divorce, and after a divorce, family life is more complex than it used to be. More and more children are growing up in blended families. What does this increase in family diversity mean for the well-being of parents and children? And how are time, attention and money divided among the various family members in stepfamilies? How do couples organise their finances and is less money given to (step)children in blended families? This study focuses on such consequences of increased family diversity in the Netherlands.
