Hi, I’m Shirin, a Master’s student in Health Psychology at the Faculty of Social and Behavioral Sciences. I love how entrepreneurship brings together seemingly disconnected disciplines, uncovering hidden gems at their intersections. Right now, I’m working on a project that blends psychology, sociology, creative writing, and science communication to find new ways of helping young adults navigate the dread that life can sometimes be. :^)
I became a Playground student ambassador because I love the people who come into this space, the energy it creates, and the incredible team behind it. It’s given me so much, and I wanted to give something back in return. One of my key projects focuses on mental health—specifically addressing the burnout and depression-like symptoms people experience in response to issues like climate change or the wars in Gaza and Ukraine.
My take on entrepreneurship? Don’t take it too seriously. It’s not just about starting a for-profit business—it’s about creating something new that brings value. Almost anything can be entrepreneurial.
Want to connect? Find me on LinkedIn. But honestly, the easiest way is to stop by the Playground—I practically live there now!
