Matteo Carpi de Resmini

Student Ambassador, Faculty of Science. 2024-Present.

Hello, I’m Matteo—a Bioinspired Innovation student at the Faculty of Science, where I blend biology and design to create solutions that improve people’s lives. Back home in Tuscany, I run a small farm, Lavelle Peccioli, where I grow organic food and bring people together. My passion for entrepreneurship started long before I moved to the Netherlands, so when I discovered Playground—a hub for entrepreneurial spirit—I knew it was the perfect place for me. Becoming a Playground Student Ambassador has allowed me to connect with like-minded students and share my enthusiasm for innovation.

What excites me most about entrepreneurship is its ability to bring creative minds together, foster collaboration across different backgrounds, and drive meaningful change. My best advice for aspiring entrepreneurs? Reframe your fears. Often, the things that scare us most are the ones holding us back. Embracing failure as part of the journey is key—something that perfectly aligns with Playground’s motto: “Try. Fail. Try Again.”

Right now, I’m working on my major research project at the Lilis Proto Lab, where I’m refining my skills in physical prototyping. Since I have experience in this area, I’m always happy to help fellow students bring their ideas to life. Feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn!
