Alumni activities
Utrecht University is proud of its alumni, wherever they may be in the world. Anyone who has studied at Utrecht University is part of a network of over 225,000 alumni.
In its 50th lustrum year in 2026, Utrecht University will be organising a range of alumni events. Alumni will have the opportunity to meet up, return to the university and celebrate the anniversary together.
Meet, gather and celebrate
We are developing new activities for the alumni network that are tailored to different target groups. The focus is on meeting up, getting together and, where appropriate, celebrating.
In doing so, we are making a conscious choice to organise in-person gatherings. This gives alumni the chance to return to Utrecht: the city where they studied.
Alumni Day and other activities
In 2026, Utrecht University will be hosting an Alumni Day for those celebrating their 50th and 25th anniversaries. On this day, we will be celebrating both the university’s lustrum and their graduation year.
In addition, there will be inspiration cafés for young professionals, we will be marking graduation in a particularly festive manner, and we will be organising various networking events.
