The aim of circularity is to eliminate waste, thus keeping valuable resources within the economy and not extracting them from nature. In a circular economy, resources are kept in use for as long as possible, and are then recycled into new products and materials of the same quality and nature. The circular economy is designed to maximise the reusability of products and raw materials and minimise value destruction. This is unlike the current linear system, which converts raw materials into products that are destroyed at the end of their life, or even prematurely.
