Climate Emotions Conversations

Come join our Climate Emotions Conversations!

"Climate Emotions Conversations", previously known as the "Climate Emotions Café", is an initiative started by Green Office employees Clara, Daria and Martina, who noticed a big need to discuss thoughts and feelings related to the climate, often expressed by students in the field of the environment and sustainability (but not limited to!), and to find community around them. After all, who goes by the news of climate change (or: crisis) completely unaffected?

Through CEC’s, we are creating a space to share, exchange, and learn from each other about the feelings related to the climate crisis. We have already hosted 3 fruitful sessions, and plan to keep hosting these sessions every month.

Our structure offers the opportunity to process our emotions creatively, or engage in the Balint group – a method used to exchange perspectives and find support. We developed this method in collaboration with Rembrandt Zegers, a climate psychologist. This is not therapy or a support group, but rather a space of community where we all learn from each other!

During our conversations, people have expressed emotions such as anxiety, anger, or helplessness, and found support, empowerment and new like-minded friends.

Still sounds vague? Don't worry – come join us and see for yourself!
