Career opportunities after a PhD are a highly debated topic among PhD candidates. Many candidates starting a PhD want to end up in academia. However, this is a difficult career step that is not always possible. Therefore, Utrecht University developed PhACE, the two-day PhD Activating Career Event. Because we want to help you with your future career steps.
PhACE gives you insight into the great value and different career opportunities of your PhD. As a doctoral candidate, you are a top academic performer with a broad scope of experience who may fit in many different sectors of employment. During PhACE people that successfully completed their PhD and now work in different career fields talk about their careers. They share their professional experiences with you and explain the skills that are needed to transfer to areas outside academia.
During the event you will also participate in a range of workshops. These workshops will help you explore your personal strengths and skills and create awareness of what skills you can still improve.
