FAQ for prospective Master’s students GSNS
Frequently asked questions related to starting your studies at the GSNS.
Yes, this is no problem:
- Decline the offer in Osiris Online Application.
- Your Letter of Acceptance is valid for a start in September 2024 or February 2025 and for the starting dates in the following 13 months.
- Register again in Osiris or Studielink as soon as this is possible for your new starting date (mind the deadlines!). You don't have to upload all your documents again, but you can state that you already have a letter of acceptance. Then inform us about your re-registration via science.gsns@uu.nl.
- If you defer your current application or submit a new one for the next academic year, you will not have to pay the application fee again.
If you meet the conditions, yes.
Yes, it is still possible to cancel your application completely. You can do this even if you have previously accepted the offer of admission in OSIRIS Online Application. Make sure that you cancel your application in Studielink before the start in September / February.
If you authorized a direct debit collection of the tuition fee, this will then also be cancelled automatically. In case you have already paid the tuition fees, we will refund this amount fully (provided you cancelled before the starting date of your programme).
Please note that the application fee is non-refundable.
No. Although some education activities may be offered online, Utrecht University expects to welcome all of its students in person, on campus.
Depending of the start of the programma, the deadline to submit these documents is September 1st or February 1st. But if this is really not possible, you may submit them ultimately before September 15th / February 15th
