Our work focuses on developing novel regenerative strategies for the treatment of liver diseases in domestic animals and humans. We use 3D liver stem cell cultures, bioprinting technology and cellular reprogramming techniques to try and generate mature hepatocytes and organise these into functional liver structures. Read more

Lipid overload is a paramount problem for people in industrial countries due to associated risks of secondary disorders including obesity, diabetes, atherosclerosis and hypertension.The liver plays a crucial role in fat metabolism.
