Pathology
The Pathology division is part off the Biomolecular Health Sciences department of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
Mission
The mission of the divison of Pathology is to collect and distribute knowledge about the function and disfunction of cells, tissues and organs. With this knowledge, the Pathology Department contributes to understanding the consequences of animal diseases for individual animals or specific populations. This includes not only pets such as dogs and cats, farm animals such as cattle, but also horses, zoo animals, native wild animals and marine mammals. The Dutch Wildlife Health Centre and the post-mortem investigations of stranded whales also belong to the pathology division.
