The Faculty Club of ... Georgine Kapitein
In this section, our members tell something about themselves and why they are members of the Faculty Club. Georgine Kapitein is alumnus at UU Dentistry.
Why am I a member? On several occasions I have been invited as a guest by a friend to visit the Faculty Club. Apart from the very pleasant stay at this location, in the heart of Utrecht, I have tasted the pleasant atmosphere, even met and spoken with former colleagues. All this made me decide to become a member. I have been a member of the Faculty Club since August 2018.

What do you do in everyday life?
For some time now I have been enjoying my retirement and also my four grandsons! Besides that, I like to go into town on my bike, because there is always something to do in Utrecht. From the theatre to the flower market, I am always on the move in our fantastic city!
I started my career at UU Dentistry at the department of Endodontics. Teaching is my passion. My next step was teaching dental assistants at the MBO in Utrecht, at the Oudenoord. This was a new course at the time, and setting up this dental assistant course was a wonderful challenge for me. For years, I taught classes, supervised students and provided coaching in the work process. I also worked as an examiner for various educational institutions.
Most pleasant memory of the Faculty Club?
The pleasant memories of the evenings at the Faculty Club are the quiz night, the wine tasting and the BBQ. I enjoy the musical entertainment and ... being surrounded by pleasant people, at this beautiful location in the centre of Utrecht!
What are you looking forward to the most?
I hope to visit the Faculty Club again soon; I'm looking forward to seeing and talking to each other again!
Any suggestions for activities for the Faculty Club?
I think the Faculty Club's activity calendar is great, there's something for everyone!
