opportunities. As a Friend, you make a concrete difference to the study time of the current generation of students. Your donation goes entirely to Utrecht University's students.
Impact of your friendship
The student initiatives supported are hugely diverse. Maryam used a grant to present her master's thesis at an international congress — an opportunity she would otherwise have had to forgo. Thanks to the Friends, the study association ran a mentoring project for first-year students who find the first semester the most difficult. Student Beau pursued her dream and vaccinated wild animals in Africa, a unique experience for her Veterinary Medicine studies. With more than 6,000 Friends, we support over 200 initiatives like these every year. Together with the Ufonds, the student committee STUF handles all grant applications annually.
As a Friend, you also receive an invitation to the annual Donors' Day. You visit special places within the university that are not normally accessible. And with the Friends Pass, you enjoy exclusive benefits all year round, such as free access to the University Library, the University Museum and the Botanical Gardens, and discounts at Parnassos and Olympos.
