Co.Laborations | Partnerships in Media and Culture
With Co.Laborations, the Department of Media and Culture Studies aims to build partnerships between academia and practitioners, and to support and develop educational and research projects together with partners in the field of media and culture.
Charting the cultural landscape
Social and political institutions can seek the assistance of Utrecht University researchers in the fields of media (film, television, new media), music, theatre and culture in a societal context. Our researchers collaborate with partners from the cultural sector, the corporate industry and society in - amongst others - the Utrecht Data School, the Postcolonial Studies Initiative, the 'Why Theatre?' programme, the Sharing Arts Lab, [urban interfaces], the Doing Gender lecture series, the Scenografie Platform (Scenography Platform) and the Centre for Television in Transition.
The research activities of the Department of Media and Culture Studies are organised in three research groups: Gender Studies, Musicology and Media and Performance. If you are interested in commissioning research or in consultancy or training in any of these areas, please contact the research group in question or Institute for Cultural Inquiry (ICON).
