Seven Dutch universities offer a programme in Biology, but Utrecht University offers the broadest Biology programme in the Netherlands.
The Biology programme at Utrecht welcomes 200 first-year students each year. Utrecht also has the largest number of research groups, providing students with the widest range of options.
The Department of Biology at Utrecht University works closely with other programmes (Earth Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Physics and Chemistry), and during your studies, you will have an opportunity to focus on the interfaces between these different areas.
Aside from the programme, the city of Utrecht is itself a reason that many students apply to study here.
