Flags and banners

Flags and banners representing Utrecht University have to be in line with the Corporate Identity (grid, logo, font, colour, image). The design and production of a banner are exclusively done by a communication professional.

There are two different UU flags:

• The ceremonial flag, which is only used for the Dies Natalis, the Opening of the Academic Year and university-wide mourning;
• The flag of Utrecht University, which is used for all other situations.

The colour specification of the ceremonial flag is specified in a document.

The flag on images

When using images featuring one of the two UU flags, you are to make sure that the depicted flag is befitting of the situation that the communication medium is about. In the Image library of UU, a number of images of both flags are available.

The flag of Utrecht University can be borrowed

UU wants to be well visible during events and activities. That is why we started a pilot in which interested colleagues and students can borrow a flag via the self-service portal (Login with Solis-ID > Events, meetings, loans, reservations > Request resources and facilities).

Banners

The design and production of a banner are exclusively done by a communication professional. If you want to have a banner designed or made, please contact the communication department of the university department where you are employed/enrolled or contact the Corporate Identity team directly.
