The CCAN's main public platform is the Classy Salon, a regular event in a casual café environment. The Classy Salon has two goals:
- to raise awareness and educate about class issues in and around academia through talks by researchers as well as students on their on-going work and personal experiences.
- to offer a space especially for first-gen and working-class students and academics to meet one another, share experiences, support each other, network with peers, and form a community (but anyone interested in the topic is welcome!).
