Student council

The Centre for Global Challenges has established the Student Council with the purpose of connecting various student associations at Utrecht University and provide a platform for exchange and collaboration among them. The council consists of associations across different disciplines, including SIB Utrecht (Student Association for International Relations), CS Ubuntu (Study Association for Conflict Studies), ACHN (African and Caribbean Heritage Network) and ECU’92 (Economics Study Association).

Members of the student council meet up regularly to organise events together and with the support of the Centre for Global Challenges. The Centre provides funding for events and helps with their promotion. It also connects the students with potential speakers, as it is attached to an elaborate network of researchers and other academics.
