Annual report of the Utrecht University Fund

Annual Report 2019

The Utrecht University Fund looks back on a year in which we were able to support many great projects by Utrecht students and researchers thanks to the contributions of our donors and partners. In 2019, the fund raised nearly 2.4 million euros. With this wonderful amount, our fund makes the difference in all kinds of beautiful projects that fall under the pillars of research (60%), education (25%) and academic heritage and academic climate.

A number of activities are addressed in this report. For example, there is an interview with Huda al Baker, who received support from the Rosanna Fund for Women (one of our named funds) and is now studying Conflict Studies and Human Rights in Utrecht. There is also the story of KoffieCo, an initiative of three medical students who have set up a successful podcast in which they interview medical specialists. In addition, the Agnites Vrolik Award was awarded for the second time, this time to Hester den Ruijter, who conducts research into the women's heart.
