East China Alumni Network

The UU East China Alumni Network re-started in June 2026 with an amazing event in Shanghai. Bringing together over 80 UU alumni and guests. The event celebrated the 390th anniversary of Utrecht University by bringing together a community where alumni felt immediately connected with their alma mater. 

The network aims to advance cultural exchange and provide practical information on international collaboration, including how to connect full industrial chain resources, deliver precise supply-demand matching and expand business cooperation.

6 June 2026 – 390th Anniversary Celebration 

The UU alumni network in Shanghai had their first gathering since covid. The event celebrated the 390th anniversary of Utrecht University by bringing together a community where alumni felt immediately connected with their alma mater. Vice Consul of the Netherlands Sybrich Zwiers and Mr. Liu Qing, President of the SORSA Benelux Branch, were among the speakers. After the speeches the alumni had the opportunity to network and connect with one another over snacks and drinks.
