DONATE to the Yvoor Fund

Promoting experiences without borders

The Yvoor Fund was established by Yvonne van Rooy to stimulate the wide-ranging international development of ambitious, talented Utrecht students.
For this purpose, the fund makes available grants to encourage students and enable them to spend a short time studying abroad, for example by attending a summer school. The Yvoor Fund focuses on students who are members of associations and active in society within or outside the association. The course taken by the student abroad can also be outside their own discipline, for example a language course. This challenges students to broaden their horizons.

Yvonne van Rooy studied Law in Utrecht, and returned in 2004 as President of the Executive Board. Prior to that, she was State Secretary of Economic Affairs and represented the CDA in the European Parliament. Since 2012, she has chaired the Netherlands Association of Hospitals.

In my career, I have benefited greatly from the opportunities I had during my degree programme to spend time studying abroad. I would like today's generation of students also to benefit from these experiences and this impact. I also believe it is important for students to broaden their perspective rather than merely focusing more intensively on a specific subject.
