AI and assessments

These are the AI policy frameworks regarding assessments:

AI for quantitative assessments

The application of AI for the quantitative assessment of student works with a grade, GPA determination, pass/fail determination or for the purpose of the judicium cum laude determination is not permitted. In principle, this applies even if the assessment takes place semi-automatically, i.e. when the AI, for example, gives a (partial) grade recommendation that is ultimately adopted or weighed heavily in the final assessment.

AI fraud detection software

The use of AI plagiarism software to confront students with (or as evidence of) possible AI-related fraud based on the results of that software is not permitted. You can find more information on intranet (login required).

AI forms of assessments

This page will contain an overview of AI forms of assessment. These are forms of assessment that:

  • are insensitive to fraud with AI
  • apply AI as part of the assessment

The latter does not mean automatic grading. Automatic grading is not permitted.
