AI index for students

In education, we are going to work with the so-called AI index. That is a 5-level scale indicating to what extent or how you may use generative AI or, for example, AI for data analysis etc.

AI index for FSW

PS: A temporary exemption has been granted for the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences (FSW) to test a variant of the AI index: the so-called FSW AI-index (Dutch only). It only applies to FSW students.

The teacher can choose from the 5 levels of AI use within the course as a whole, but can also choose to select different levels for specific assignments.

The AI index levels are not a sliding scale, however, at level 1 the use of AI is not allowed at all, while at level 5 the use of AI is fully allowed. Consult your teacher for more information.
