Fietje van Bochove and Els Dikker
Fietje van Bochove as been working as a cattle veterinarian at Dierenartsengroep Rivierenland for more than four years. Els Dikker was one of the first Farm Animal Health and Veterinary Public Health Master's students with a prior education in Animal Sciences at Wageningen University & Research. The two women discuss the challenges of being a farm veterinarian, relationships with farmers and their thoughts on the field.
Arnold Stokhof and Mel van Zantvliet
One is now 77, started studying Veterinary Medicine in 1961 and immersed himself in the Utrecht student life. The other just turned 19 and spent most of his first year studying online from home due to the COVID pandemic.
Erik Teske and Laurien Feenstra
Laurien Feenstra is training to become a veterinary oncologist. Erik Teske is the head of Oncology and her Trainer. ‘It doesn’t feel like work to me,’ Feenstra says. ‘I just find it incredibly interesting.’ Teske is proud to see Feenstra’s enthusiasm for the European-accredited programme he founded.
