Veterinary College Tour (in Dutch)

The most beautiful profession in the world can also be quite demanding at times, especially for young professionals. To mark our 200th anniversary, we organised a College Tour for veterinarians on 20 May 2022 on leading and motivating young professionals.

Veterinarians are in high demand, but the profession sometimes demands a lot from young professionals who set very high standards for themselves. How can they deal effectively with stress and stay mentally healthy? And what can you do as a manager to properly guide and coach junior professionals so that they are able to perform their work with satisfaction and success?

These and more questions were addressed in the College Tour for vets with psychologist, speaker and author Thijs Launspach Launspach has written books on stress, burnout and millennials at work. He wrote the bestseller 'Fokking Busy' (2018), 'Work can also be off' (2020) and 'Working with Millennials' (2019).  He has a weekly column in the Algemeen Dagblad newspaper and is one of the lecturers at The School of Life.

Discussion leader during the College Tour was vet Yteke Elte external link. Elte conducts research at the faculty on the human side of veterinary medicine and is concerned with the professional development of (future) veterinarians. During the College Tour, there was plenty of room for participants' questions and experiences. Afterwards, there were dressed-up drinks and the conversation continued.
