The Botanic Gardens are approximately five kilometres from the centre of Utrecht. The gardens are easy to reach by bicycle from Utrecht CS railway station. Of course, it is also possible to include the gardens in a longer cycle trip in the area around Utrecht. You can plan a cycle trip using the Dutch Cyclists' Union's route planner (in Dutch). For electric bicycles, there is a charging point powered by solar energy.

Directions and parking
There are various car parks in the vicinity of the Botanic Gardens. They can be accessed free of charge at weekends. On working days, outside holiday periods, it can be difficult finding a place to park. The use of public transport or a bicycle is therefore recommended. You can use the P+R (Park & Ride) De Uithof, where you can park your car for just € 5 per day and travel by bus free of charge with five people to any location in Utrecht. With this card, you can visit the gardens first before travelling on to the centre. At the P+R, public transport bikes can be hired.
