Anyone who publishes — or supports this process — is welcome to join this interactive session. Have your say on aspects of open access that matter to you, and help us shape UU’s new open access policy.  

What would we like to discuss?

1. Bibliodiversity: Will our open access policy soon apply to all types of publications?
2. No APCs: Are we switching entirely to diamond open access?  
3. Researchers in control: Will we soon always publish on the basis of preprints?  
4. Equal opportunities: How do we increase knowledge equity in publishing?  
5. Exceptions to the rule: When can and should publishing be less open?  
6. Not without faculties: What influence will faculties’ publishing strategies have on our open access policy?  

Programme: 15:00 – 17:00  

• Opening: A brief explanation of the concept of open access policy.  
• Round 1: Choose one of the six discussion tables.  
• Round 2: Choose one of the other six discussion tables.  
• Central dialogue: What are the key insights from the discussions?  

We will conclude at 17:00 with drinks.
